Well geez everyone, sorry I didn't post anything Sunday night. I heard from my mom that I left everyone at her work hanging. Apparently they think I should set up a web cam in the house and make it like some reality show!! (just kidding of course)
Saturday Mike had some friends stop by. Also, Sorts and Jane Ellen brought over some apple crisp. On Saturday I slaved in the kitchen all day making some food. I made beef fajitas, marinaded in garlic, cumin, chili powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Plus I added some fresh cilantro and green onions to the marinade. Also I marinaded some vegetables for kabobs on the grill. They were marinaded in vegetable oil, rice vinegar, salt, pepper, thyme, and garlic. Very good both marinades I'd say. I recommend. Plus I made some baked apples. I relayed this information to my chef/professor in an effort to make up for my missing Wednesday's class. I think he'll buy it. All the food was very tasty, however I don't understand all the Bree Vandecamps in the world who do this night and day every day of the week. It is crazy and I fully intend on having a husband who cooks at least 50% of the time.
Mike eats and eats, and eats some more. He loves all the food people bring him. On Sunday we had everyone over for dinner. Well, first Aunt Debbie stopped by and she brought some food for this week. Grandma Hoyt made her awesome pork chops and some mashed potatoes and gravy and even some beef roast. We ate my leftover veggies. And Grandma made some cake and pumpkin pie. Plus Aunt Jennifer made some Rocky Road bars. Well, we ate well. PLUS, Panda and Gadget came up. You all know Panda (the real Panda) and Gadget is the Nehrenz's shitzu dog. On top of all the aunt, uncles, grandparents, and cousins, Kurt managed to time it well to show up just in time for all the food! I just like teasing Kurt. We got some good photos which I will upload when I get time.
I just got my mom's computer hooked up to dial-up today, and we are in the process of getting broadband. It is difficult to put pictures up with dial-up.
Mike got some really nice cards today, including one with pictures in it from the Fortney's (thanks!).
Mike has an appointment tomorrow at the White Pond Rd. Edwin Shaw outpatient clinic for his therapy (it is closer to us than going to Lakemore). He will get a schedule going here soon I hope. Meanwhile, Aunt Sharon came by tonight and worked him some. Actually, she works him pretty hard but it is all good, because that will make him recover faster and he doesn't complain too much to her!
Well, I think that covers things for now. We are watching a Steven Segal movie right now (go figure). Mike is still wobbly at night when he gets up for bathroom breaks. Therefore, Mom doesn't want him walking to the bathroom alone. I made her go to her bed last night and I slept on the couch to get up with Mike in the middle of the night since she went back to work today. I am a lazy turd and don't have to get up early, so I figured that is best. Well, goodnight and I'll write again soon.
